This is my Grandma's recipe. I have always loved it.

Ingredients:
3 eggs
1/2 cup (1 stick/4 oz./113g) butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 (16 oz.) can or jar of applesauce
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup brandy

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F/180 degrees C. Lightly grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, butter, milk and sugar. Mix well, then add the remaining ingredients (except the brandy) and combine well.

Spoon batter into prepared pan and bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Remove from oven and let cool for 15 minutes in pan, then remove from pan and wrap in aluminum foil for an hour, then unwrap and sprinkle with brandy once a day for 2 weeks ..... Enjoy!

Makes 16 servings.

Horrible horrible cake recipe. How much is 16 oz can if your takiung from a big jar? Grandma might have had the knack for it but it floped for me and I'm a 5 star chef.

16 oz is 2 cups. It sort of seems like a 5 star chef would know that. But, this is a very good recipe and turned out well for me.
