Comments:
Make this whipped cream topping for cakes, cupcakes, put it over ice cream or use to top milk shakes, or spoon over berries, or other fresh fruit. Also great with warm apple pie.

Ingredients:
1 small size box instant pudding mix (flavor of your choice)
Milk
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 to 4 tbsp. granulated sugar, (depending on how sweet you want the topping to be)

Instructions:
1. Prepare 1 box instant pudding, using HALF of the milk called for on the box.
2. Whip 1 cup whipping cream.
3. Fold pudding and whipped cream together.
4. You may add 1 tsp. vanilla extract and 1 to 4 tbsp. sugar, depending on how sweet you like it. Blend until smooth.
Topping must be stored in refrigerator.

Makes enough to frost a 2-layer cake.

Tip: You may use a pastry bag with a roseette tip for decorating your desserts with the whipped cream topping.

Diana, this is my lifesaver recipe. Thanks to you always. I made this icing tons of times. This is very easy, delicious and a very light icing. It’s one of the favorite icings in my friend circle. Thanks again, Nitu

Jennifer, This may be late but hope helps you. As per my experience it holds nice for one hour in room temp(70 Degree). and two days in refrigerator.

Wonderful! This did take tint well, and the boarders held their shape very well too! I did not add any sugar or vanilla. This was perfectly light for my daughter's first birthday cake. Thanks for a great recipe! It is now my husband's favorite (although he likes it best with regular chocolate pudding).

If I use white chocolate pudding, can I use icing tints to color this?

I LOVE this recipe! I love using butter cream to decorate a cake, but hate the way it's so sweet and heavy. This makes a great icing to decorate with, takes color well, and tastes wonderful! Plus it lasts much better in the sun than you'd expect.

Do I have to refrigerate the pudding before I mix it with the whipped cream?

Thank you soo much for posting the recipe. I just made it and it tastes great. I used powdered sugar instead so it would come out less grainy. My only concern was I used french vanilla for the instant pudding and it came out pale yellow. Is there any other pudding mix to use that would make the cream come out white?

I haven't tried this yet but I will. Can you add color to the whipped cream topping?
