When I mixed the ingrediants together I was totlly liquid. When I put them into the oven it looked like one big puddle! Maybe I did something wrong?

They're really good. I didn't have eggs so I didn't add any but it still tasted really good.

These make excellent cutout cookies. They don't puff or spread as some do, but maintain their cookie-cutter shape. Nice buttery flavour. Firm but tender texture. I chilled the cutouts for 30 minutes before baking. I also removed the baked cookies when the bottoms were just beginning to brown, but not the edges.

mine came out all spread out. didn't shape the cookies with cookie cutter, so we had to cut the dough up, but it tastes really nice.

What will these cookies be best topped with, if we want to top it with something that is?

Hi Diana,

When you mentioned 'Combine butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and egg yolk' in your recipe, does that mean by creaming the butter, sugar and egg yolk until light and fluffy? If not, how well should I combine the butter, sugar and egg yolk? Thanks so much for your advice.

Its great, but how do I add toppings like sprinkles? Do I put them in with the almost-made cookies?

When do you add the cookie decorations? (e.g. sugar sparkles) right after taking them out of the oven or when they have cooled? Thank you!
