Williams-Sonoma Cookies by Marie Simmons - I have always enjoyed all of the cookbooks I own in the Williams-Sonoma Collection Series and this one is at the top of my list. This book has great never-fail recipes with beautiful color photographs and includes recipes from cookie categories as The Classics, Cookies for Kids, Party Cookies, Cookies for Giving (great for the holiday season right now), Holiday Cookies, and Decorated Cookies. The book also includes a section on Cookie Basics, a Glossary and a full index. All of the recipes are written for the home baker with great instructions for the perfect finished product.
I highly recommend this wonderful cookie cookbook and since this is the perfect time of year for making cookies for gift-giving, why not pick up a copy and make some scrumptious goodies for friends and family, like the incredible Double-Ginger Snaps or the scrumptious Bourbon Balls which are coated in finely chopped pecans, what a delight!
